TETRIS: The Movie

Some friends and I enter a monthly contest called Trailer Wars here in Bellingham. Each group has to create an original movie trailer based on the criteria that the winning group from the time before gets to select. This time, the theme was "Adaptation" so we made a movie about one of the best celebrated games of all time, Tetris. Unfortunately, we didn't win (it's voted on by the crowd) but we're still way stoked on what we have created and hope it gets some attention online. Check it out!

Wired's Top 20 Most Anticipated Games of 2010

It's a good time to be a gamer. 2009 was a great year for games, and 2010 is looking to be even more interesting. I love the fact that consoles are having a longer lifespan these days, not only because it's less expensive, but because it's forcing developers to be more creative with gameplay instead of just making the same old shit with flashier graphics. Here are a few screenshots from a Wired article that I recommend checking out. The great thing is that some of the best games of every year are a total surprise and aren't found on any "anticipated games" list (new IPs like Borderlands, Flower, Scribblenauts, MadWorld, etc).

Bellingham Photographer Paul Israel

My friend Paul Israel just launched his new photography site. I'd recommend checking it out, especially the "Live Performance" section in his portfolio. It's awesome having someone like him in Bellingham. You can usually count on him to make it out to all the cool shit in town and he takes better photos than I could even dream up. Definitely my favorite Bellingham photographer by far.

Call him and make him take your photo!!!

p.s. Thanks Paul, for a reason to come out of blog hibernation!
